Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie upended the jazz world with the sounds of BeBop, bringing a virtuosity, rhythmic drive, and melodic and harmonic imagination that would forever cement their positions as legends of this music. The style of BeBop continued to grow, develop, and diversify, and would ultimately branch out into other styles that we know and love today.
